Overview

X-SINNER introduced themselves to the world in 1989 with their critically acclaimed Brian Johnson-era AC/DC influenced debut "Get It". The band followed that record up two years later with the Bon Scott-era AC/DC influenced sophomore effort "Peace Treaty". Retroactive Records initially approached the band about re-releasing the long out of print "Peace Treaty" disc to the modern world, but was met with the kind of legal red tape that usually brings a quick halt to such matters. Undaunted, the band and the label charted a new course and set plans for re-recording the entire album. The band was never fully pleased with the original version of the album and felt this was a great chance to give it the kind of hard rock treatment they had wanted it to have in the first place.

The ballad, "Hold On" was replaced with a newly written song entitled, "Fire It Up". Feeling the song encapsulated so much of what the band had always felt they were about, they decided to rename the album after it. Updated artwork was required as well to give the album the look to fit the sound.

X-SINNER has now officially reunited and is playing concerts again. They're currently recording a brand new studio album (tentitively titled, "World Covered In Blood"). Fans wondering what to expect from the new album should look no further than the title track of "Fire It Up".

Press Feedback

So, if you like your Rock N' Roll heavy and with the right amount of attitude, this is a good album for you.
Alan Miasnikov (Alternative-Zine.com)
More than likely, fans of AC/DC and DEF LEPPARD will enjoy this album more than anyone else. If you are a fan of X-SINNER's previous efforts, you will be blown away by the production quality of this release.
Fred Keel (JesusFreakHideout.com)
They deliver some great melodic hardrock songs in the same style as DEF LEPPARD did on their "On Through The Night" and "High 'n Dry" albums. The harmony vocals sounds very close to the LEPPARDs and the songs got great hooklines. This is an album that has it moments and if you miss the sound DEF LEPPARD had on their early days with some hints of AC/DC - should give this band a chance.
Juha Harjula (Melodic.net)
Looking for party rock in the same style as: KROKUS, AC/DC and DEF LEPPARD? Well... look no further.
Peter Laursen (PowerOfMetal.dk)
They've always been labeled as the Jesus rockers mix of AC/DC and DEF LEPPARD and you won't get a better description here. It's very much the sound of DEF's "High N' Dry" and "Pyromania" albums vs. the entire back catalogue of ACCA DACCA and especially the era of Bon Scott and early Brian Johnson.
Urban Wallstrom (RockUnited.com)
If you don't own "Peace Treaty", this is a definite mustbuy, as it is a good upgrade from the previous release.
Jonathan Nelson (Tollbooth.org)
Knaller wie "Rollin' Thunder", "I Take Power" oder "All I Need" sind purer Rock'n Roll.
